2015 Haskap Canada Membership Drive!

Did you know that our membership drive for 2015 is under way?  Memberships are $50.00 and can be renewed online using PayPal at http://haskap.ca/members.  Among other things benefits include:

2014 AGM: Come And Join Us!

The date for the 2014 Annual General Meeting of Haskap Canada is set for 9:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 29.  Registration for the meeting will take place on the day of the meeting.  The location of the meeting will be posted in the lobby of the Agriculture Building on the University of Saskatchewan, 51 CampusDrive, Saskatoon, SK.  The morning will feature various speakers (to be announced); the AGM will begin at 1:00 p.m..

To be addressed at the AGM are resolutions regarding new rules governing not-for-profit organizations. Nominations will also be accepted for the board of directors' open position(s).  Updates on various research findings on the crop and topics such as pollination will be discussed earlier in the day.

Haskap Day 2013


Haskap Day this year will be held on Friday, July 19 at the University of Saskatchewan's Horticulure Field Lab, Saskatoon, SK.  The day will feature talks by Dr. Bob Bors, and doctoral student James Dawson will report on various compounds he has discovered in Haskap while doing his research .  There will be introductions to new graduate students and their respective fields of inquiry. Industry updates will be addressed by the Haskap Canada Association, who will also speak about some of their new initiatives. As always there will be field tours, which are continuing to break open new insights as these plants continue to mature.  Starting time is 10:00 a.m..
